On the surface, it looks like the whole society in the Czech Republic is open-minded and LGBT+ friendly. But when it comes to the question of the law and marriage of same-sex couples, hidden ignorance and hatred appears. One man Czeslaw and the group of his companions runs a campaign to prove to the politicians and common society that the fight for LGBT+ rights in Europe is far not over. Will he succeed? Will the Czech Republic be the first country in Eastern Europe where gays and lesbians will be able to marry? Or will all the effort get stuck in the political populistic maze?”

I ask myself: What is the world? We live in a time hole and our life is interspersed with shared holes of nonsense. We're always in the hole, trying to earn a living. Our memory ends in the hole of forgetting. There is the harmful ozone hole; the inexplicable black hole. Atoms are more empty than full, they are full of holes. In the ground there are holes full of trash and holes full of coal. There is a hole in our heart when we lose our lover. A window is a hole in the wall. There is also a hole in the film "Personal Life Of A Hole". Holy hole, what to do with all these holes?! The film shot on 16mm colorful film stock contemplates contemporary culture, ecology, economics, and finally, love.

Truck driver Jaroslav Miko is by all means an anomaly among other people in his social bubble. He is well aware of it. Jaroslav says that considering Czech standards, he has a “weird” family. He has a Roma wife and their daughters are quarter Vietnamese. Jaroslav is a co-founder of The Czech Help initiative and he actively promotes the acceptance of children of the refugee crisis victims. In the observatory portrait, the director observes and records Miko, the “hero of our time”, during all his activities. The final destinations include refugee camps and the Czech Senate. The means of transport which will get the audience to these places is a cabin of a truck. A film play about the conscience of the Czech nation.

Fire Mountain used to be a peripheral area situated in Prague in Třebešín right above the railway line owned by the train loading station Žižkov. As time passed by this place lost its original significance and turned into abandoned no man's land. And then it became an asylum and a home for few people. Some might call these people homeless but this documentary film shows them as those who live outside the common system: in a parallel Universe where modernity meets prehistory and the word community takes back its original meaning.

BELOW THE BLACK SUN RISING
Below the Black Sun Rising is an audiovisual hypnotic meditation on the symbol of the "black sun" as depicted in prehistoric and ancient spiritual traditions, runic scriptures, alchemy, psychoanalysis, occultism, and politics. In the Euro-Atlantic context, this symbol is as controversial as the swastika. However, the real tradition of this symbol is several thousand years old and at the same time it is firmly connected with the history of our capital city Prague. The film approaches this symbol as a broader concept and tries to emphasize and examine its psychological and mythological side. As one of the most frequently depicted symbols in human cultures across all continents, the black sun is a rich and significant source of inspiration and deep thought.

Our story takes place during The Protectorate Era, precisely during the period from Heydrich's arrival to Prague till the assassination attack on him. This time period during which Heydrich lived in Prague serves as a platform for creating ironicaly mystifical situations which follow real historical events. Using the character of mythical and legendary Czech super hero The Spring Man we connect to the elite fictional Czech resistance group which is dedicated to defeating The Nazi Germany represented by Heydrich.

An audiovisual essay with a particular focus on ecology, climate change, and poetry. It moves between an audiovisual essay and hybrid document, with its images overlaid and polluted by commonly unseen or unrepresented phenomena. This interplay between footage and abstract visualization produces the effect of describing, distorting, morphing, andvisualizing what we may otherwise be unable tofully grasp in our complex, contemporary world. Additionally, this mediation is achieved not only through image, but also with the help of sound artists. The film is divided into 5 chapters, each dedicated to a particular aspect of the “natural world” as we knowit now - in the context of the emerging Anthropocene and climate change.
